Oh, Library, how I love thee…sort of.

Oh, Library, how I love thee…sort of.

I went to the library today after class to pick up Wondrous Strange by Lesley Livingston, because my nifty hold request thing emailed me and said “Hey, Ree! The book you requested is here, come pick it up!”

Of course while I was there, I decided to use the computers there to check for a few titles I’d been wanting.  Of course, it told me -every single one- was not there.  What the heck??  I was incredibly frustrated at that point, so I just went to the holds section, grabbed my book, and headed for the exit…and then decided to go to the “Teen Room” (their Young Adult section) to just browse through what they had available.

I found every. single. book. that I’d just tried to find on the online catalog.  Seriously, every single one.  Even one that I had on hold that was being delivered from another library? That one was there.  At any rate, I experienced incredible joy and a sense of “Oh my GOSH why does the library catalog system SUCK SO BADLY” all at once.  -Whatever-. I got my books.  And they are, in no particular order:

Wings – Aprilynne Pike
Impossible – Nancy Werlin
Falling Through Darkness – Carolyn MacCullough
Wondrous Strange – Lesley Livingston
Fallen – Lauren Kate
Graceling – Kristin Cashore
Shiver – Maggie Stiefvater

I am a happy girl. A very, very happy girl.
