Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-a-thon (Update #1)

Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-a-thon (Update #1)

Well!  Today got off to a little bit of a hectic start.  My husband and I are doing a cycle of IVF treatment (yay!) so I’ve had doctor’s appointments every day this week.  Unfortunately, that also included today, so I wasn’t able to focus as much on reading for this Read-a-Thon like I wanted to.

I’m home now, though (After a quick stop at Barnes & Noble to peek through their clearance rack…got 4 books!) and reading again.  I did read while in the waiting room, while my husband drove us to and from each place, and while he stopped to grab some supplies at Target.    Anywho, on to the update…

Title of book(s) read since last update: Room by Emma Donoghue and Birthmarked by Caragh M. O’Brien.
Number of books read since you started: 2
Pages read since last update: 681
Running total of pages read since you started: 681
Amount of time spent reading since last update: 7 hours

I’m going to be reading Aprilynne Pike’s Spells next.

Life As We Knew ItSusan Beth Pfeffer
The Dead & the GoneSusan Beth Pfeffer

But for now…a nap.  🙂  Good luck, everyone, remember to take breaks and rest your eyes! (Or ears, as the case may be.)

I’m not so good at clever cheers – just keep on reading, and we’ll be here (to keep you motivated – yeah!)

Looks like you’re doing great – and we’re past the halfway point now :-).

Happy Readathon!

You’ve done great so far! I’ve heard such good things about Room, I really need to try to read it soon. Enjoy the rest of the read-a-thon!

Wow! I don’t know how you read three books by the same authors so closely together. I generally need a break!

You are doing a fantastic job on your readathon.
