Feature & Follow Friday #2

Feature & Follow Friday #2

First things first…what is the Feature & Follow Blog Hop? Well, it’s a weekly meme hosted by Rachel @ Parajunkee and Alison @ Alison Can Read. The meme helps to launch new book bloggers and also makes it easy for quite a few already established (and new!) bloggers to get together once a week and go on a commenting-frenzy. Make new friends, get in touch with old ones…it’s a win/win for everyone!

  1. (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
  2. (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
  3. Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
  4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
  5. If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
  6. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
  7. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love…and the followers
The question is:

What book would you love to see made into a movie or television show and do you have actors/actresses in mind to play the main characters?

Oh, wow, well… I know exactly what my answer is.  One of my favorite series is The Last Vampire by Christopher Pike (Re-published in omnibus editions as the Thirst series).  I looooooove these books and I’d fangirl all over the movie if it actually gets made.  There’s been rumors, but no real confirmation yet.  As far as actors/actresses, oh heck, I don’t have a clue.  I don’t pay enough attention to movies/hollywood to even be able to name someone young enough to play the people in the books.  I’m sure they’d pay someone nicely to figure all that out. 😉

I would love to see The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare on the big screen!

New follower! Here’s my Follow Friday Post

Happy weekend!

Thanks for stopping by my little chunk of the web, JoAnne. 🙂 I read Clockwork Angel when it first came out and I have to say I just didn’t love it. I’d watch the movie, though, just to see how they adapt it to the screen – the themes in the book could work REALLY well for that!

Happy Friday!

Ooh, Christopher Pike. I have yet to see anyone mention him, which I always preferred his books to R.L. Stine anyway…just thought they were better. rotfl. But, yes…loved The Last Vampire series. I think it would make an excellent series. But, I also enjoyed the Remember Me series, too. I think that would make a great tv show. 🙂

Hi, Suz! Thanks for stopping by Literary Obsession. 🙂 Ooo you make a great point with the Remember Me series – that really would translate well to a TV show. I’d certainly watch it! Then again, I’d probably watch anything by Christopher Pike that was made into a tv show.

Have a fabulous weekend!

The Last Vampire sounds really good . I am looking for another good vampire series to read. My FF

You really should pick it up, Jackie. It’s a quick read if you get the individual books, but I actually prefer the omnibus versions simply because it’s fewer books on the shelf and they’re a more standard paperback size. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve never heard of this, but I’ll have to check it out. I love vampire books!

Jennifer, The Last Vampire series was originally published in 1994, back before “Young Adult” was cool to read. 🙂 Quite a lot of book bloggers haven’t heard of it, simply because it was so long ago. The newest books, Thirst #3 and Thirst #4, were published in 2010 and 2011 – quite a while after what Christopher Pike fans THOUGHT was the last book (The Last Vampire: Creatures of Forever, published in 1996)

They’re SUCH delicious books, you really should read them! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by…and I’ll be heading over to your place soon to check it out!

The Last Vampire sounds intriguing! Is it a horror book? Well, I hope they make the movie!
Thanks for following me, I am sorry that I don’t have a linky follower account but I followed you back on twitter!!

My international giveaway

Thanks for stopping by, Lauren! 🙂 I don’t know that I’d call it “horror”. There’s vampires, and they’re much more hardcore than the Twilight version of vampires, but not quite Dracular. It’s a Young Adult series (or, well, Children’s, since they were published before “Young Adult” really existed)…so it’s not toooo terribly graphic. 🙂

Well, it’s a good thing you follow my blog because I stal– err, FOLLOW yours right back!! 😀

This Christopher Pike series sounds awesome…but there are EIGHT BOOKS!!! *runs away*

Sooooooo many books, sooooo little time :/

No no, Kristin! They’ve been republished in omnibus format! There’s only FOUR books! And the fifth one is coming out at some point. 🙂 See there, I just reduced your reading load by 4, how awesome is THAT! lol

OMG! What a coinkidink! One of my friends has that series and I was going to get around to reading it, but I need to wait for it to finish it! 🙂

That would make a great movie! I’ve read a few of the books in The Last Vampire/Thirst series and I loved it. I don’t really pay attention to Hollywood stuff, either. Which is why I don’t do character casting and just like waiting until the movie/TV show comes out. Thanks for following my blog! 🙂 Following back! ~ Christina

I have to check that series out. I remember hearing about it earlier somewhere and I’ve been meaning to check it out.
