Top Ten Tuesday #12

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created & hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is:

Top Ten Books…
To Read in a Day

I tend to read very quickly, and since I mostly read YA books, this whole “read in a day” thing can be any book that I’ve read recently. So, I’ll just list the books I’ve read in less than 24 hours, usually during Geekling’s naps each day.

  1. Matched by Ally Condie
  2. Crossed by Ally Condie
  3. Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer
  4. Bloodrose by Andrea Cremer
  5. Small as an Elephant by Jennifer Richard Jacobson
  6. The Help by Kathryn Stockett
  7. A Million Suns by Beth Revis
  8. The Hearts of Horses by Molly Gloss
  9. Obernewtyn by Isobelle Carmody
  10. This World We Live In by Susan Beth Pfeffer

Oooh! Matched is a great choice!

Our Top Ten!

Fun fact: I actually borrowed Matched from the library. I waited 3 weeks for the copy to be available and borrowed Crossed at the same time. When I got home with both books, I walked past my bookshelves and saw, right there in the middle, a copy of Matched that I purchased quite a while back.

Ooops! 🙂

Matched was good. I really enjoyed Nightshade but I have Wolfbane and Bloodrose on my nightstand. I just have too many books and not enough time. lol Great List!
My Top Ten Books!

Happy Reading!
Amanda @ Sisters Unedited

You know, Amanda, I have mixed emotions about them. I didn’t hate any of them, but I didn’t love them either. I’m fairly certainly I’ll be giving both a 3, but honestly they’re fun stories. I do agree that Wolfsbane and Bloodrose are better than Nightshade.

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Nice list! It’s nice to see books 2 and 3 of the Nightshade series; I just finished book 1 and thought it was okay, but people keep telling me that the rest of the series is SO much better, so I’ll keep reading.

Here’s my list: http://writergrrlreads.blogspot.ca/2012/04/top-ten-books-to-read-in-day.html

Oh, geez. You and Amanda both mentioned Nightshade series so I got my reply all sorts of confused. Luckily, the reply works for you both, so just look up one and read that, and there you go. 😉

Read the rest of the series, you’ll probably enjoy it! 🙂

I really want to read the Nightshade series been a while since I read a werewolf story. Great List, I have a few of the same on mine. I love the covers for matched and crossed. Although I liked matched better then I like crossed two great books.

Yay for A Million Suns. I read Matched and thought it was okay. After hearing so many complaints over the second one, I thought I’d wait until the third one comes out before picking up the series again. I need to read Andrea Cremer’s books now. Great list!

My Top Ten

Matched! How did I forget Matched? I devoured it!

I picked up The Hearts of Horses by chance at a library book sale last year, but haven’t gotten to reading it yet. I’m glad to hear it’s “read in one day” caliber, though!

Great list!
